This preliminary sketch shows the initial concept for a potential mural artwork for a location situated near Burleigh Heads Beach in Queensland. Drawing inspiration from Queensland’s beach culture and the increasing number of Asian eateries and retailers in the area, I wanted to create a piece that combines the two unique cultures.

The artwork features three active water rabbits rushing into town through heavy waves and an Omammori lucky charm decorated with bells and Chrysanthemum flowers. The proposed mural artwork paints Burleigh Heads Beach in Queensland as a vibrant and fun place to be.

The project unfortunately was cancelled in the end, but it is still a concept that I’m rather fond of.
